I keep getting an error symbol it is a hand with a pointed finger and a yellow star, appears briefly with a click and whatever I was trying to open on the net stops dowloading at that point. There is no message with the symbol so although i presume it is security linked i have no idea what the problem is. On the last occasion it brought up the web page i requested, allowed me to log in, allowed me to make a selection of content to view, told me to wait as online activity was in progress, put up the symbol and nothing else happened. Can anyone tell me what the symbol means and what it wants me to change. Im assuming it is related to internet explorer but again with no message to point me in right direction it is not a lot of use as a warning. The site in question allows the user full access once login is complete and works fine from a work computer so i again assume it is something to do with my computer at home. I am using windows 7 and internet explorer, dont know what version, doesnt seem to tell me in the usual place but computer is less than 12 months old and software is upto date.

Hi, As my understanding, you are annoyed by an odd symbol. For further research, please provide the problematic site and capture a screenshot for us: How to capture a screenshot ====================== 1) Press the Print Screen key (PrtScn) on your keyboard. 2) Click the "Start" menu, type "mspaint" in the Search Bar and Press Enter. 3) In the Paint program, click the "Edit" menu, click "Paste", click the "File" menu, and click "Save". 4) The "Save As" dialogue box will appear. Type a file name in the "File name:" box, for example: "screenshot". 5) Make sure "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)" is selected in the "Save as type" box, click “Desktop” on the left pane and then click "Save". 6) Then Upload to SkyDrive. Due to this issue only occurred on your home computer, I suggest you take the following steps to check it: 1. Test this issue in Safe Mode with networking. 2. Repair Internet Explorer 8. Hope it helps. Alex Zhao Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
